Who We Are

IndoorMode is a digital product operated by Element Meridian Limited Co., a limited liability company registered in the State of Georgia, United States ("we," "us," or "our").

IndoorMode operates the website at indoormode.com and provides an AI-powered family day planning tool (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Service.

By using IndoorMode you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Section 2

What Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Form inputs — when you use the Day Script generator you enter information about your children (names, ages, energy levels) and your household (available supplies, your availability, and anything to avoid). This information is used solely to generate your Day Script and is not stored on our servers after delivery.
• Email address — if you subscribe to the IndoorMode Weekly newsletter or opt in after purchase, we collect your email address to send you the newsletter and any communications you have requested.
• Payment information — when you purchase a Day Script, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full card number, CVV, or billing address. We receive only your email address and the last 4 digits of your card, which are used solely for purchase verification and refund processing.
• Refund form inputs — if you request a refund you provide your email address, card last 4 digits, and an optional reason. This information is used solely to process your refund.

Information collected automatically:

• Log data — our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically collects standard server log data including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This is standard practice for all web services and is used for security and performance monitoring only.
• Cookies — IndoorMode does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Our hosting provider may set essential technical cookies required for the site to function.

Section 3

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes only:

• To generate and deliver your custom Day Script
• To process your payment and send your purchase confirmation email
• To process refund requests within the 48-hour guarantee window
• To send the IndoorMode Weekly newsletter to subscribers who have opted in
• To respond to your support enquiries
• To monitor and improve the technical performance and security of our Service

We do not use your information for any of the following:

• Selling or renting your data to third parties
• Targeted advertising or behavioural tracking
• Building profiles about you or your children
• Any purpose not listed above

Section 4

Third-Party Services

IndoorMode uses a small number of third-party services to operate. Each handles data according to their own privacy policies, which we link to below.

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe collects and stores your payment information directly. We never see or store your full card details. When you interact with our checkout, Stripe may collect information you enter into the payment form even if you do not complete the purchase. Data shared with Stripe may be further shared by Stripe with its own service providers and affiliates in accordance with Stripe's Privacy Policy. Stripe's Privacy Policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
• Anthropic — AI generation. The information you enter into the Day Script form is sent to Anthropic's API to generate your plan. Anthropic does not store API request content for training purposes on paid API accounts. Anthropic's Privacy Policy is available at anthropic.com/privacy.
• Kit (ConvertKit) — email newsletter. If you subscribe to the IndoorMode Weekly, your email address is stored with Kit. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email. Kit's Privacy Policy is available at kit.com/privacy.
• Vercel — website hosting. Vercel hosts the IndoorMode website and collects standard server logs. Vercel's Privacy Policy is available at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other advertising or behavioural tracking services.

Section 5

Affiliate Links

IndoorMode's Supply Vault and blog articles contain affiliate links. This means that if you click a link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

We participate in the following affiliate programs:

• Amazon Associates Program
• KiwiCo Affiliate Program
• Green Kid Crafts Affiliate Program
• Fat Brain Toys Affiliate Program
• Other programs as disclosed on relevant pages

Clicking an affiliate link does not cause any of your personal information to be shared with the affiliate partner. Standard browser cookies may be set by the destination website as part of their own tracking systems, which are governed by their own privacy policies.

In accordance with FTC guidelines, all affiliate relationships are clearly disclosed on pages where affiliate links appear.

Section 6

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

When you use the Day Script generator you may enter information about your children such as their names, ages, and energy levels. We treat this information with the following protections:

• Children's information entered into the form is used solely to generate the Day Script and is not retained on our servers after the response is delivered
• We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13
• Children's information is not shared with any third party for any purpose other than generation of the Day Script via the Anthropic API
• We do not build profiles of children, track children across sessions, or use children's information for any marketing purpose

In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable state laws, if you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information directly from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at hello@indoormode.com and we will delete it promptly.

Many US state laws now expand child privacy protections beyond COPPA's under-13 threshold, defining a minor as any individual under 16 or 18. We apply conservative data minimisation practices to all information relating to minors regardless of age.

Section 7

Data Retention

We retain different types of information for different periods:

• Day Script form inputs — not retained. Information entered into the generator is used in real time to produce your Day Script and is not stored on our servers.
• Purchase records — retained for 7 years as required by US tax law and accounting standards. This includes your email address, purchase amount, and date.
• Refund records — retained for 7 years alongside purchase records.
• Email newsletter subscribers — retained until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email or by emailing hello@indoormode.com.
• Server logs — retained by Vercel for up to 30 days for security and performance purposes.

Section 8

Your Rights

Depending on where you live you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Right to access — you can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Right to deletion — you can request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements
• Right to correction — you can request that we correct inaccurate information we hold about you
• Right to opt out — you can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email
• Right to data portability — you can request your data in a portable format

These rights apply to residents of California (CCPA/CPRA), and may apply under other applicable state or federal laws. Georgia does not currently have a comprehensive state privacy law, but we extend these rights to all users regardless of location as a matter of policy.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. California residents therefore have no need to opt out of a sale that does not occur.

Section 9

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including:

• All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
• API keys and credentials are stored as environment variables and never exposed in public code
• Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant — the highest level of payment security certification
• We do not store full payment card numbers or CVV codes at any point

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we use commercially reasonable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Section 10

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes we will notify newsletter subscribers by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.

Your continued use of IndoorMode after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree with a material change, you may request deletion of your account and data before the change takes effect.
